What is a "Fan Shop" exactly? A fan shop is a store that caters to the sports fan, offering a wide selection of officially licensed merchandise that represents favorite team names, logos, colors, and players, from jerseys and hats to auto and home/office decorations and accessories; basically anything a true sports fan would need to represent his/her favorite team in style!

What makes Just Sports different from most other fan shops? Fan shops at the stadium/arena, in college bookstores, or team-owned shops carry merchandise for only one team. Just Sports, however, offers merchandise for all teams from the four major professionsl leagues: MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL, as well as all the major colleges in the NCAA. Regardless of your hometown or your favorite team, Just Sports has what you need.

Just Sports currently boasts 17 stores throughout Arizona and is owned an operated by Sports Venture, Inc. Established in 1987, Sports Venture opened its first store under the name and as a franchisee of the nationwide franchise Pro Image. Beginning with a single store in San Diego, California Sports Venture quickly extended its reach into New Mexico, Texas, and Southern Arizona.

With its ownership being Arizonan born and raised, it was always Sports Venture's goal to focus on the Arizona market, and as opportunities in the local market arose in the mid-90s, Sports Venture began selling its out-of-state interests and opening new locations in Valley malls beginning with Phoenix's Christown Mall in 1992.

In 1997 Sports Venture, along with a few other franchisees, negotiated a break with the Pro Image organization and began operating independently under the name Just Sports. Today there are two distinct groups that operate under the name Just Sports. One group services the Pacific Northwest, and Sports Venture operates all Arizona Just Sports locations.

By the late 90s Just Sports expanded its local presence into most major Phoenix-area malls. The 2000s saw Just Sports extend its presence throughout the state as opportunities presented themselves in areas outside the Valley, adding stores in Tucson, Prescott, and Casa Grande. Just Sports will continue to grow as new malls open throughout the state to accomodate Arizona's rapid and consistent growth.

Now, Just Sports is jumping into the online world, with its new online store, www.JustSportsAZ.com. In addition to all the major staples available in stores, the website will grow to feature many items that aren't available for purchase in the stores. This new online venture will only further solidify Just Sports position as Arizona's #1fan shop!
